Nothing excites me more than the unexpected.
And that speaks truth of a moment shared with a colleague when introduced to a team of local designers that too inspires, motivates and shares the same vision for modernism. The passion for great home design, great scale, wonderful use of materials and mirroring function with beauty in building, interior and landscape design.
While on an errand for a client, in company with a colleague, sourcing out swiss pearl siding for a modern facelift in B.C. Within minutes after the representative showed us the product installed we were introduced to Matt McLeod and Lisa Bovell. A local team, which have a combined 30 years of experience designing full residential modern environments.
Matt McLeod and Lisa Bovell are one of my favourite designers in the area – the kind of highly professionals and creative talents that come along once in a generation. The designers’ career is successful because of the close relationships that they’ve built with clients to create their dream homes. Ideas that arise from close consideration of the clients’ site.
As a designer these moments to meet an admired designer is a moment that is inspirational and motivational. It’s a chance where shared ideas and passionate conversations of the same interests are at the core. And an experience that sparks creativity and drive for our own future projects here at D3 Design. And for those that know me well as a designer know that the love and prevailing influence of interior styles is west coast modern.
Home designs that fit perfectly into the unique landscape of the west. Incorporating modern technologies, materials and concepts into inspirational and sustainable west coast designs.
Our focus at D3 Design is to create interiors that are both functional and meaningful for each of the clients that I and our team at D3 Design work with.
